Easy scandinavian chocolate cake (balls!)
140 gram bloem
2 eetlepels cacao poeder
2 eetlepels bakpoeder
snufje zout
220 gram suiker
1 eetlepel vanille essence
120 ml melk
120 ml zonnebloemolie
2 eieren

He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold on to him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.
Bob Marley
When it comes to
Looks: No one stays pretty forever. We all get old, we all have babies, and our bodies change. Looks don’t define a person nor make them who they are. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what someone else considers to be beautiful you might not. While a person may be beautiful on the outside they may be miserable and nasty on the inside.
Holding a Grudge: People change, people make mistakes. You can’t change a person, nor can you change what has happened in the past. Hating someone for a mistake that they made just puts YOU in the wrong. Move on in your life, let things go. It’s not worth fixating on something that you cannot change anymore and that has already happened. We all make mistakes, but it has no effect on us what other people do or have done.
Money: Money isn’t everything, and money can’t buy happiness. You appreciate the finer things in life more if you have worked for it, rather than getting it all handed to you.
Relationships: In a relationship a person has to think about not only themselves but the other person as well. A relationship is not all about giving and expecting something back in return. Sometimes you give to the other person because you love them and appreciate them, while the only thing you need back in return is for them to love you and appreciate you as well.
Life Obstacles: Everything happens for a reason, and most of the time we don’t understand the reason but we know that it was for the best of us. Nobodies life is perfect, if everyone was perfect there would be no point in living on this earth. We are given obstacles so that we can learn from them and so that they can make us even stronger.
Letting Go: People come into our lives for a reason, and when they have fulfilled that reason they walk out of our lives. Relationships come and go, and not everyone ends up with the person that they thought would be their soulmate. People get old, and people die, but we never forget that those people have taught us the greatest life lessons ever and have shaped us into who we are. Always remember, that letting go of something or someone that you are so attached to is hard, but trying to keep whats not meant to be is even harder.

Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? We should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel. And when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? You must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children.

And then I felt sad because I realized that once people are broken in certain ways, they can’t ever be fixed, and this is something nobody ever tells you when you are young and it never fails to surprise you as you grow older as you see the people in your life break one by one. You wonder when your turn is going to be, or if it’s already happened.
Douglas Coupland
